Why You Should Chuck Preconceived Notions about the Perfect Christian Date

Here is a list of reasons as to why many people are interested in having a Christian date that is the date to end all dates.  No one is perfect, not even a Christian.  While having a religion in common is extremely helpful and in many cases rewarding, this does not mean that you will have everything in common and will not have trouble compromising when it comes to deciding on a movie or a restaurant for date night.  This just means that you are likely more compatible when it comes to being able to make moral decisions and having common values.  This does not mean that you will not be attracted to the other person.  Christian or not, when you are physically attracted to someone, you will notice.

There are very few instances in which Christians will say that while they were very happy with their date and want to see them again, they were not physically attracted to them.  Being Christian does not mean turning certain functions of the human body off.  This just means acting differently in those types of situations and coming to different conclusions as a result of a belief in something specific.  This does not mean that there will be no awkward period when the individuals feel sexually or intimately responsive to each other.  This does not mean that is was a bad date.  In most instances, this means that it was a very good date.  Being Christian does not mean that everything is easy and there are no pressures and there are no complications that will have to be dealt with by the couple.  This is important because the situations, in which the couple will be dealing with, especially when it is one of the early dates for the couple, will help to show how they will interact and react with and to each other when it comes to a more regular basis and not in a date situation.  These are the things that we will need to focus on, rather than some of the other things that individuals will notice that may not be as important as these other things are actually evident to be, especially later on in the relationship.

There are so many instances in which a person will try to perfect things about a date on account of one specific factor.  Simply because a date shares the same faith does not mean that it will be the end all and be all of dates.  While it does mean that there is a common interest, and an important common interest, this does no mean that everything that evening will be perfect.  Some of the strongest relationships actually come from the individuals going out and dealing with controversy and not letting it affect the individuals and how they feel about each other.  Instead of feeling like the date was crummy, they walk away feeling as if the date were an adventure and something that would have actually been crummy had they been alone and not with such a nice and neat other person.  This is mostly due to the fact that the strongest couples are those that will deal with the every day annoyances and problems and consequences without letting it get to them and bother them as a couple.

Instead, they go through these same problems that everyone else goes through and they feel lucky and blessed.  This is the type of relationship that we should all likely look for, hope for and strive for, but the truth is that there is no perfect Christian date.  There are only the couples that will see through the ordinary in order to find the extraordinary in each other.
